“Present’Osa” at Expo 2025 in Osaka (Japan)
June 2025

“Present’Osa” is a dessert inspired by the traditional Abruzzese jewel “La Presentosa”, and it will be featured at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, in the Italian Pavilion during Abruzzo Week, scheduled from June 15 to 21.

«Present’Osa perfectly embodies the uniquely Italian ability to transform beauty into experience, memory into a creative form of expression, and symbol into product», says the creator Ascenzio Faiazza, an architect and food designer from Pescara.

A symbol of “Union” and “Promise of Love”, the iconic Presentosa jewel is reinterpreted in dessert form: an aromatic wafer made with plant-based ingredients and strong emotional resonance. The symbolic motifs on the original jewel are embossed on the wafer’s surface, creating a unique texture. At last, the golden hue shines, reflecting its preciousness.

«Both an elegant and sustainable product is the result of meticulous attention to shape, detail, and ingredients. A ferratella that creatively fuses two arts: goldsmithing and pastry making. Born vegan by ethical choice, serves as a gift, a vehicle of a shared feeling of love and connection», Faiazza adds.

The synergy of innovation, creative design, and artisanal skill has given rise to a product that goes far beyond a simple dessert: a small masterpiece that tells the story of Abruzzo to the world, transforming an ancient adornment into a modern, original, and memorable culinary creation.

With “Present’Osa”, the Abruzzo Region presents itself at Expo Osaka 2025 by winning over the visitors of the Italian Pavilion through taste – combining traditional sweets with the Region’s most iconic representation of goldsmith artistry.

“Present’Osa”, the jewel to savour.
